So, Say You Wanna Silver Hand
Adventures in latex, a photo-essay below the cut:
This is silver hand 2.0; I redid it last night to test a few things (like using a hair dryer to dry each layer faster and using a Sharpie to decorate it).

Step One: My hand in 3 layers of latex. Not bad, but, well, white latex is about as unsexy as it gets unless you get excited by Elmer's glue. For the LARP I did four layers which turned out a bit TOO thick and chunky--while Lugh the Silver-Handed is a legitimate diety, Lugh the Block-of-Tofu-Handed has few followers.

Step Two: The addition of the silver powder. Yowza. It marks the first time ever that a product worked better than a store clerk thought it would. (Especially a product bought in a sex shop.)

Step Three: The hand, with a few minutes doodling to make it look a wee bit snazzier.
