Things you won't see on the Discovery Channel
True fact: I like watching squirrels eat. I like the way they sit up, I like their little paws, I like their big bushy tails, I just like 'em.
This morning, D noticed a pack of squirrels out back and tossed them a few stale ice cream cones we'd had on top of our fridge.
Friends and neighbors, squirrels + irregularly-shaped food they can barely hold = AWESOME
Have you ever watched a squirrel try to climb a tree while holding an entire cone sideways in his mouth? No? You need to. You really need to.
I have this strange urge now to go out looking for oddly-shaped, cumbersome food. For the squirrels. For the Lols. I actually caught myself thinking this afternoon, "Man, I can't wait for the River Festival so I can buy some cotton candy to bring home for the squirrels". This could get bad.

Yes, and it is made of win. Other great things to give them?
- long pretzel sticks
- folded/tied -style pretzels
- pieces of candied apple (sticky ftw)
- a whole piece of bread, preferably wonderbread, so they have to keep picking up the pieces as it shreds
