At some point during the late night dogwalk yesterday, D and I were discussing how many local dog owners we DIDN'T know the names of. As in, we know the names of their dogs (Lily, Felicia, Spike, Zoey, Lily the Pug, Demon) but have no idea what the owners' names are.

D: I'm tired of this. Our next dog is getting named 'BrianAndDeb'.

Me: Oh, I like it. And his last name can be "sDog".

You wouldn't think we'd be able to pronounce the capital letters like that, but we totally were. It's a trick we've developed.

Dog's are amazing icebreakers, but you're right, getting the name of the dog's person(s) isn't facilitated by the named entity on the leash.
