(no subject)

So Saturday I went to my friend Jim's birthday party, which was at an indoor trampoline bounce-a-rama place. And there was much bouncing, 2/3 of it controlled and 1/3 of it of the "oh gracious, I did not mean to go here, no no I did not mean to go here at all" sort, and after the bouncing was over we had pizza and cake and it was a good celebration, hooray.

On Sunday I woke up and didn't feel bad at all after the previous day's unusual activity. And I felt a bit smug, as this was proof that I was a studly stud of studliness.

Today.....oh. Oh, today. Picture if you will a super-fun-ball placed inside an inflated balloon. Put the balloon in a little bit of motion, and watch as the ball inside makes with the wacky and bounces all over. That's what was happening with my internal organs on Saturday, based on the messages I'm getting from my muscles today. Owwie.

When I was a child I desperately wanted to jump on a trampoline, but I never encountered one on which to jump. Now that I'm old, I think just a few jumps would crack my bad spine. A dream, lost...

There was a bouncy castle at a local kids theme park when I was a kid, but it was often closed or too full for me to go in. Now, I feel like if I jumped on one, or on a trampoline, I'd somehow land wrong on my bad ankles and break them. Getting older really sucks sometimes.

Hee! I mean, not that you're in pain, but that you made it to the trampoline place. Sarah went a few weeks (months?) ago and...yeah. Her pain skipped a day too.

When you say things like, Oh, gracious? You might be a bit too old for the bounce-a-rama.

I want to know where the bounce-a-rama place is; that sounds awesome!

Hope the owwie was worth it!

I got a good laugh out of this, That. And to think that Brian makes fun of ME for saying Dang Nabbit all the time. At least that's from the 20th century! ;)

Of course, Brian is totally healed from our little trampoline escapade, but my back is still hurting, one week later. He was lucky because he got vertigo right away and wasn't able to bounce more than 5 minutes at a time. I, on the other, hand LOVED the sensations and I was trying to bounce higher and higher and jump from one trampoline to the next...right up until the moment I landed badly and did something unhappy to the middle of my back. I think I'm going to end up in PT soon.
