I was Bubbles at TMDP and I had an amazing time, and a lot of that was due to RP I ended up having with the other players, you included, as this plotline evolved from the ether. Character reactions to the dumb-to-smart changeover were all over the board. Shelly was openly contemptuous ("There's only room for one smart girl in the band"), others were romantic (Bubbles had a history of liking boys, but never actually being liked back, which was novel), and a few were violent (Clamhead said he'd strangle Bubbles if she went back to using that voice).
One of the best scenes for me was the character Spritle making Bubbles cry by telling her about all the smart stuff she had done moments ago, yet couldn't even begin to understand now.
I have to admit, I've never read "Flowers" through, but feel a bit obligated to do so now.
