I'm trying to figure out how I'll be dancing and wrestling in a costume tomorrow, and I haven't even *seen* it yet.

The dance calls for me peeling leaves off mock-seductively, but when I talked to the costume designer on the phone, she said something about "having to go with paper mache" before hanging up. Now I'm imagining chiselling each leaf off.

the base is paper mache, the leaves are just stapled on.
the trick is that you won't be green anymore when you start peeling the leaves off, since the base will probably not get hit by spraypaint.
but, artichokes are nearly white on the inside anyway. it's all good.

I'm having a hard time envisioning a dancing and wrestling and stripping artichoke.....

I find that it helps to remember that the wrestling and dancing are about an hour apart. Not much, but a little. :)
