(no subject)

The Norwalk Virus has hit Oakenhouse.

D was up all night last night "processing", if you know what I mean and I think you do.

I think our New Year celebration is going to consist of her lying on the bed with a bucket beside her while I brew tea, wash my hands compulsively, and think good thoughts towards my white blood cells. And that's the best case scenario.

Gads, I'm sorry. I am more and more alternating between utter joy at the mildness of my case with fear that it wasn't it and my hit is still pending. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Happy New Year!

Ack, Norwalk!

It's the next Legionnaire's, I sometimes think. Fookin' cruise ships. It's spreading all over the country. Makes me glad I'm an antisocial bint who doesn't hang out much in crowded places.

Good luck, Happy New Year, and I hope D feels better soon. Feed the poor thing some ginger beer.

Ack! Wash those hands! Wash 'em!

I hope her Norwalk is of the variety I had a few years ago: after an uncomfortable night and morning, the stomach settled down so long as I didn't impose anything on it. Then the second part of the gastroenteritis set in until the next morning. And then it was over, except for the horrible ragged-out part.

I'll think good thoughts toward your white blood cells and be glad that all Akycha caught from our goddaughter was a cold.

This DOES seem to be the faster version, thankfully; it's been about ten hours since the last time Something Bad happened, and we've moved on to the achy worn-out feeling.

She even was able to get up and check e-mail, which is always a good sign. :)

You too! Good luck with the LAN party-vortex in your house. :)
