Wheels of progress grind slowly

Fair warning, friends and neighbors: I'll be doing Nanowrimo again this year, so you're going to get a lot of little posts about my (lack of) progress.

But for today, I'm happy to announce that I've hit a milestone by coming up with the title:

The Hand of Fate Has Four Middle Fingers

Oh yes. This is going to be special.

(More seriously, if anyone else is doing it and wants to link up for mutual support and shared hot chocolate recipes, my username at the Nano site is the same as it is here).

Very intrigued by the title. Looking forward to more.

I'm thinking about doing Nanowrimo this year, but I'm still on the fence. If you're doing it again, you obviously had a positive experience. What about it makes you want to go back?

Partly there's a very good, supportive regional group here; more than that, though, I discovered the first time I tried it that the combination of freedom (no editting, no worrying about quality) and discipline (1667 words a day, and omg do Virgos like me use that word count app seeing how far we've gone after each sentence) really works for me. Hopefully this'll be the year I can retain some of that discipline after I'm done, instead of just going "Yay! Exhausted! I've earned the right not to write anything for a while!"
