Dec. 14th, 2003 11:30 pmOh, school, please please please don't declare another snow day tomorrow. The chaos of having to reschedule 100 final exams in January would break me.
Angels in America is over. It had a few flaws, but, hey, so did Richard III. I think that, especially if he keeps putting out work like this, Tony Kushner might possibly be the predominant playwright this era is remembered for, in centuries to come.
It's a happy thought that for decades, at least, actors looking for powerful monologues to perform will find some of the best and most eloquent of them to be from the POV of gay men struggling with questions about love and death. If the Right had any clue, they would have ignored the 'Reagans' miniseries and tried to get Angels off the air instead.
