Jul. 6th, 2009 06:43 amI dreamt last night that I got cast in a major production of Shakespeare's other Hamlet. You know, the romantic comedy where a father and son team of lawyers (Jeff Goldblum and myself) travel to the castle of elderly King Hamlet (Patrick Stewart), who wants a really good nuptial agreement drawn up so he can marry off his daughter (?) to a high-ranking Elf (?, I think a young male Meryl Streep) from the forest next door.
Naturally, the plot involves the lawyer's son and the King's daughter falling in love and trying to keep their fathers happy and still clandestinely wreck the betrothal six ways from Sunday. At least, I think that's how it goes--in the dream I was such a nervous wreck about sharing the stage with all these people that I was refusing to even look at the script.
