Honkfest!

So on the first weekend of October, about 20 funky marching bands from all over North America are coming to the area for something called Honkfest (www.honkfest.org). As a former marching band geek who's been known to be fond of colorful costumes, I'm starting to find this ridiculously exciting.

And now I find out that all this includes a parade on Sunday the 7th, with all 20 marching/samba/gypsy bands, a whole slew of community groups and locals including Click and Clack from NPR's Car Talk, and anyone else who wants to take part.
