Video rentals

oakenguyOver this weekend I managed to make D do a little spaz-dance-of-joy by surprising her with the just-released 'Queer as Folk, Season 2'. When she's done, that'll mean that out of the gay-themed movies at our rental place, she'll have seen...well...ALL of them.
It's just one of those things. To be honest, it's nice to always know what to rent for her.
I picked up 'The Fast Runner', that epic Inuit saga that the critics were wild about. And in August, when I can look at snow without cringing and whimpering, it'll be a wonderful movie experience.
What was I thinking?! I mean, it's set in the arctic, it's by and about Inuit, there's snow on the cover...of all the things to rent during a miserably cold day while D and I are both half-crazy with cabin fever, why this? I should've just gone all the way and gotten a double feature of 'The Shining' and a Donner Party documentary.
Snow. *shudder*
