May. 23rd, 2003 10:58 amTonight: meet a landlord near Porter Square.
Tomorrow: meet with landlord, realtor, realtor, possibly landlord, possibly a third realtor.
Sunday and/or first sunny weather day: start putting 'free' boxes out on the sidewalk when the thought of packing gets too daunting. Probably more landlords. Still drawing the line at New Hampshire.
Last night was the first meeting of the sketch comedy group, where we read each others' sketches, tried playing different parts ( I seem to nail deranged and lovestruck characters pretty well--who knew?), and told long fun stories (and gossiped about other folks in the local comedy scene). So far so good--now if only I can get in the groove and actually write something good.....

My I ask...
Date: 2003-05-23 08:15 am (UTC)...and why are you meeting with so many landlords? Are you looking, by chance, for a place to live in July?

Date: 2003-05-23 08:22 am (UTC)Did I manage to sell you on Roxbury at all? It's nice, honest. :) On the other hand, Juliansinger and I keep talking about moving north of the city in a year or so, anyhow, so I suppose there isn't /too/ much point in trying to nudge you south into its heart. But it would be a fun year.
Good luck with the whole, horrible hunting process. Let me know if there's anything I can do. I have a bottomless well of moving/packing karma to pay off from the amazing bail-out kindnesses I've received in past years; I'd help complete strangers move, let alone you guys. Let me know.
Re: My I ask...
Date: 2003-05-23 08:44 am (UTC)And we're not only looking, we're almost at the point of offering gourmet wine or chocolate bounties! Have you heard of anything? Dog-friendly, under $1250?
Re: My I ask...
Date: 2003-05-23 08:59 am (UTC)And... I'll check with my landlord. The second floor apartment has been renovated - I'm not sure when he's opening it up, or how much it'll be, though.
Have you been ,craigslisting? There are lots of listings there, although as someone who looked for a sublet that liked cats, I know it'll be very, very hard.
Re: My I ask...
Date: 2003-05-23 02:12 pm (UTC)I know someone renting a place in Malden for $1200.
I'll see if I can find the ad...

Date: 2003-05-24 07:19 am (UTC)Will continue to look, however. Assume you're scouring boston.com and the herald's homefind.com?
