The bad

The local charities tell us they can't take a car, even a donation, in the condition Ganesha's in. So it looks like the junkyard for her.

*whimper*

Of the five possible holiday parties between now and New Years', lessee: one's on the bus line or a half hour's walk away; one would involve the commuter rail and a lift; one would involve staying overnight; one's in another state and the fifth I have just no clue about--the closest attendee to me isn't responding to e-mail, and doesn't have a car himself. And that's not even mentioning the four-hour Greyhound trip up to Bangor to see my family that's looming in the near-future.

*double whimper*

Will you be making it to Christmas Eve Eve at Paul's?

Take Concord Trailways. It's really just a much nicer bus experience, and it's the same price. Plus, they give you juice and crackers, which is just darling.

what kind of condition is the car in? Mine was a 13 year old buick with sheets of paint falling off, a motor that would shake at any speed greater than 20 mph, a front license plate holder that was attached to the car on one side through a hole, and a little perferation mark on the back bumper that looked suspiciously like a fire hydrant.

try the friends of the blind. They took my Sky with no issues, gave us more money that we thought it was worth (the dealership offered 50 bucks), and even came to take it away themselves.

Or, you know, I could clean out my car and stuff and give you and Deb a /ride/ so it wouldn't involve commuter rail at all.

If, that is, you were actually talking about what I think you were talking about.

But you're staying overnight, yah? Which doesn't really work with the things we need to do on Sunday.

Well, sure, but we /could/ give you a ride over and then, also, give you a ride to the commuter rail when you need to bail.

(My point being, it'd be really good to see you.)

damn it...I know there is a car donation charity with free pick up actively advertising on the radio, let me think a second *google*

It might've been this...

Can I donate a vehicle that has not run in years?
Yes, we accept most vehicles running or not (exceptions include vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing). However, the condition of your vehicle will affect the fair market value of your donation.

I was going to have a New Years party which would have been easy for you guys to get to but no one seemed interested. :/ I think I'm going to be spending it alone again.

It'd be good to see you, too!

Unfortunately, the last train of the day leaves the commuter rail at 5:42. :P

Brian, for you and D, I am more than happy to drive you home whenever you want to go. Or, at the very least, to drive you to the South Acton train station to catch the 8:35.
