Three things that bug me about my brother-in-law:

1) Until asked to stop, he would not only dish up my sister's food, he'd chop up all the meat for her.
2) He pees outside. Routinely.
3) He can't relax unless he's talking. It doesn't matter what, he just needs the sound.

Three signs that I got ALL the snarkiness in my generation and my sister got none:

1) Her collection of 'Precious Moments' figurines.
2) The big poster by the bed with the poem about the guy walking and seeing two sets of footprints behind him, then one set, and for some reason he decides that this of all things is what he should complain to Jesus about, and.....anyhow, you know the one.
3) Her love for any movie, including 'Sam I Am' and 'Dreamcatcher', where an actor, preferably famous, plays a mentally-challenged person.

That poem is, oddly enough, simply called "Footprints". :)

I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] flynngrrl in fact, that's the only movie I really like Leonadro DeCRAPrio. I liked I Am Sam, too. But then again, I work with people with disabilities, so when I see actors representing them in thoughtful ways, and not just in stereotypes, and also helping with advocacy by the publication of the movie- I approve. Although I, personally, think more actors with disabilities should get such roles, rather than just big named people.

Gilbert Grape was! And Something About Mary is a favorite movie.

Dreamcatcher, on the other hand....
