Hammond Castle

oakenguyOne thing I noticed (even as I was running around it in the dark looking for an open door, hoping that the audition really WAS going on last night), is that Hammond Castle is...oh, how would Voltaire put it? ah, right...FRICKIN' AWESOME. Big ol' stone edifice right up against the water, high ceilings and dramatic balconies and a nice courtyard and lots of tiny little touches that're 19 different kinds of anachronistic but still work.
There's no way I can NOT be involved with a Halloween production at this place. I met the folks in charge and they seem nice AND competent (a rare blend), but even if the show was being put on with two teenagers and a mechanical rat it would still blow everyone away because they've got The Castle!
