In my mind, I just keep hearing glitterybitch going "Holy CRAP!!" It's the only tone that really fits.

20/20 vision is just....WOW.

It's like an acid trip. Especially in the way I keep staring around me and mumbling things like "Oh mah gawd, look at those braaaanches!" Who knew vegetation was so damn intricate?? Or that people on the subway had so damn many pores??? Wow. Wowwowwow.

Diagnosis was astygmatism + near-sightedness, btw.

Pics of me in my glasses soon, once I get presentable. (I figure just getting through the "whoooooaaaa....stubbbbbbble...." stage should take an hour).

Ain't it neat? I hadn't worn my glasses for 8 months since I stepped on them. When I got new ones, the drive home was, shall we say, an eye-opener :D

I remember the first time I realized that I could almost make out individual trees on the hills surrounding town -- and see the hills as more than a blur, for that matter -- but the most important thing to me when I got glasses was that I could now see the multiplication tables that were on the wall over the blackboard. I was in fourth grade, you see, and they were pretty darned important then.
