I've leapt before I looked again. My friend who's helping co-ordinate next weekend's festival was chatting with me, and casually asked me if I wanted to "do something" on the stage that night as part of their Evening Cabaret of Weirdness. And I said "Sure!"

What the frell am I going to do for a performance? I'm going on between a baton twirler and a burlesque dancer; it'll be a room full of jaded and hip artsy-types; and I'll be in a vegetable costume. Jo-Jo the Dancing Six-Foot Artichoke. Gah. Gah. Gah.

Jeeell, hi!! I saw you in the B0st0n community, and was blown away by your bio--it's like you were quoting thoughts in my head. Only more articulate. God, if there was any justice in this world people would get paid large amounts of money for coming up with phrases like "this hairball that has become my life".

You know what that's from??? The book, "Orbiting the Giant Hairball" by Gordon MacKenzie. Great book on the corporate culture and staying outside the box.

I'll add you to my friends list so you can read all the good stuff. ;)
