oakenguyKofi Annan called on Bush yesterday to "fight AIDS as strongly as he fights terrorism". As a direct response, Bush has pulled 2/3 of US AIDS researchers out of their labs and redirected them to arthritis research centers. Colin Powell is scheduled to go on Meet the Press and say that the administration has found numerous links between arthritis and the HIV virus. Anyone objecting to this will be slammed by Fox News as being "unsupportive of AIDS victims" and "in favor of death".

In other news, the pigeon fledglings are growing quickly--they're already the size of grackles and have most of their adult plumage.
I've named them Romulus and Remus.
I've brought in binoculars so I can keep a closer eye on their development, which so far consists of sitting very still unless they get an itch they have to scratch. If they had basic cable, they'd be almost indistinguisable from the guitar students in the apartment next door.
