Jul. 15th, 2002 12:17 pmIt's looking official now: ArtBeat in Davis Square is going to be the site of Brian the Giant Artichoke! I was fitted for the costume yesterday--it's wire mesh, which will be very light and cool, but which was also very sharp and pointy to have on while Yani figured out where the padding should go. I'm all be-punctured today. :(
I'm spreading myself thin--the parade's on Friday night (6-7ish, if anyone's interested), and then I'll be in costume the first part of Saturday afternoon, then out of costume to act as barker/stagehand/assistant for my friend on the stilts at 3:30, then back in costume for the Cabaret act...which seems to be coming together, but I've got to remember to go out and get the 'Full Monty' soundtrack. Hee.
Meanwhile, my writing block finally seems to be over! Maybe it was just the humidity. Maybe it's my muse realizing that if I don't get back to writing I'll find more ways to sing and dance in public, and *no one* wants that!
