I can bicycle to work, *or* I can stop at the gym. But doing both on the same day? I think I'm going to let myself get in better shape before I do that again.

I've got to be more like my nephew, Mr. 7% bodyfat-only-eats-when-he's-hungry-gets-filled -up-by-a-sandwich. The thing is, when lunchtime comes I'm so burned out by dealing with constant questions that I just want to FLEE to somewhere that's peaceful and quiet for an hour---and the only places like that around here are restaurants. I've probably gained ten pounds just due to shyness.
(On top of the thirty I've put on due to a sedentary lifestyle and a slowing metabolism, yes yes.)
You never really realize which muscles don't normally get used until you use them. Who knew the backs of my upper arms were so wimpy? Ow ow ow.
