My simple little gloomy nine-scene script outline has become a frickin' episode of 'Northern Exposure', with eccentric side characters and flagrant subtitling. And backstory, enough backstory for a mini-series. Jeebus.

The thing is, I've written the last three scenes in less time than it took me to write the first one, and it's just getting easier. Too bad the original ending no longer FITS, and I have no clue what's going to happen anymore.

Agh. I either need less caffeine, or even more.
Here's an odd thing. I love using this journal to note the odd little things, or (to a lesser extent) not-so-good events. But mention a good thing? Nah, that's too much like hubris.

So here, weeks after it actually happened, is the hubri-ffic thing: this radio script I did for a local group of aspiring producers went over pretty well. Well enough that they're having auditions on the 27th. :) I'm fully prepared for no one to show, and/or for the producers to turn out to be crooks or clueless or both, and/or for nothing to ever get actually made. And I'm certainly never expecting to see a nickel.

But still. It's pretty neat.

(Oh, the script's at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HOTU_Productions/files/Projects/AfterHell/AH_DyingOnStage.doc if anyone's curious. You might need to join the group in order to get access to the files, I'm not sure.)
