And, you know, New Hampshire REALLY isn't that far away, and it's a nice drive, especially with 'Run Lola Run' blasting on the stereo. The miles just fly by...

Too bad it's nowhere near Gloucester which is WHERE I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE GOING!!!

Sheesh. Good thing the audition/rehearsal/tour started a half hour late.
One thing I noticed (even as I was running around it in the dark looking for an open door, hoping that the audition really WAS going on last night), is that Hammond Castle is...oh, how would Voltaire put it? ah, right...FRICKIN' AWESOME. Big ol' stone edifice right up against the water, high ceilings and dramatic balconies and a nice courtyard and lots of tiny little touches that're 19 different kinds of anachronistic but still work.

There's no way I can NOT be involved with a Halloween production at this place. I met the folks in charge and they seem nice AND competent (a rare blend), but even if the show was being put on with two teenagers and a mechanical rat it would still blow everyone away because they've got The Castle!
Batboy: the Musical! is in town. There is no way I can resist seeing this.

Would anyone else be interested?
