Feb. 16th, 2005 02:31 pmI've discovered that there are few things as mesmerizing as watching someone very drunk try to walk a bicycle down a hill. At several points his knees went wobbly, and the bike became a makeshift cane keeping him upright...except that it was still gently moving forward.
He only fell once, and it was a slow, almost geological process. First the bike, then himself several seconds later, rolling across it and then another few yards across the grass.
The last thing I saw before my path took me out of sight was him getting to the bottom of the hill, looking around....and turning around to climb the hill again.
