audioboy and attended by quite a few very fun Theater@First types, it was my first exposure to the new series and oh MY it's good. It's the best science fiction I've seen on TV since Farscape went away. It's got an interesting dynamic for someone who's watched 'Buffy'--it's another show with a well-educated older gentleman (with a tough streak and a dark side under his glib, kindly exterior) and a quick-witted blonde teenager having adventures, but this time it's the guy getting the best lines and leaving his friend in a state of exasperation. It's like the whole series is Giles's daydream after a hard day with the Scoobies.
And the bastards made me sniffle over a Dalek. A DALEK. It's just not right.
