Three shows at Gloucester’s West End Theater!

He’s coming…! Pastimes Entertainment, the interactive
theater company behind the King Arthur Festival, the
Salem Pirate Faire, and The Castle of the Damned,
embarks on its first production exclusively for the
stage, “The Scarecrow of Rumney Marsh”!

“Scarecrow” is an original adaptation of the novel by
British author Russell Thorndyke set in
pre-Revolutionary Revere, Massachusetts. Richard
Rininsland of Bellingham stars as Dr. Syn in a
swashbuckling adventure in the vein of “The Scarlet
Pimpernel,” “Zorro,” and “V for Vendetta.”

“The Scarecrow of Rumney Marsh” will run for two
performances at City Hall in Revere, Massachusetts on
Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 – both shows
begin at 7 PM. The West End Theater in Gloucester will
host three performances the following weekend, Friday,
July 6 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, July 7 at 2 PM and
7:30 PM.

The Revere performance is FREE (with a suggested
donation of $5 at the door) thanks to a grant from the
Mass. Cultural Council. Advance reservations will be
required, and may be made by sending an e-mail to
pastimestickets@gmail.com (please include name and
number of tickets desired). Tickets will be held at
the box office.

The West End Theater performance is $10 per ticket,
and tickets may be purchased by calling the box office
at 978-281-0680.

My dream last night was a first: an anxiety dream about a *convention panel*. I dreamt I was a half hour late to the con (which was being held in a corner of a Bowdoin College dining hall), got to the room to find it packed and with no other panelists there, and then only discovered five minutes into my talk that the topic wasn't, in fact, "The Fantastic Four", it was actually "Bad Roleplaying Game Experiences".

(No, no idea at ALL why those particular topics would be swirling around my subconscious. Nope nope.)

In hindsight, I have to say it's a relief to be having a stress dream about *that* and not final exams. Is this adulthood?

Nah, probably not.
