vozeatscake, I have to thank you. I was wearing your "I <3 BOOKS" t-shirt to the dentist today. She took one look and yelled "Narwhal!" Then we had a long talk about how she and her daughter saw a pic of a narwhal pod and loved them sooo much, and did more research and then got sad because only boy narwhals got the long tooth and what's the fun of being a narwhal without one?

So that got me talking about you and your kid and your chickens named Nancy, and

That got HER talking about her goldfish named Claire 1 and Claire 2 and Claire 3 and

that got me talking about MY aquarium and how I used to have a betta fish who terrorized all the others and kept half the tank to himself, until one morning I walked out to discover the betta dead and all the other fish looking guilty, and

that got HER talking about how her husband, who's utterly inept at mechanical things, refused to believe he'd installed the aquarium filter wrong even when the water got too cloudy to see the fish, and

then I got my filling.

It must've been weird for the people in the waiting room to hear so much laughing coming from the back room. And it's all thanks to you.
