Dreams last night...
Nov. 19th, 2002 09:23 amI had a very Tim Powers-inspired dream that fragments of ghosts--not real spirits, just echoes, very incoherent--were waking up all over town. For some reason, they all felt compelled to write up written reports on various things and slip them under my door. Did I mention they were brain-damaged and incoherent critters? I remember reading one sheet of paper that was a review of a concert at the Fleet Center, and it said 'Brown brown slurbgobble.'
Later I was driving around southern Maine with Muhammed Ali, who was really really nice. We were going to visit my Uncle Billy because Ali had never seen a dairy farm. Ali was explaining that he didn't really specifically enjoy the hitting part of boxing--it was all about the competition for him, and he would've been just as happy if it'd all depended on the insults they threw back and forth in the practice room. Then we parked, and immediately things got awkward because Ali recognized Auntie Sue as someone he'd gone out with briefly in college.

Re:
Date: 2002-11-21 07:37 am (UTC)Street performance is something I've done/will do---usually it's because a friend has an art project and knows that I have a certain skill they need, or just a high tolerance for wearing strange costumes in public.
Of course, in a conservative town like Boston the line between performance art and just having fun can be really really thin at times...

I want to do street performances and make some money, but I don't want to seem like I'm begging the money.
