Oh, the things I've seen in the last 24 hours.

I've seen Eddie Izzard, with a Kenneth Branagh-y little beard.

I've seen someone play the theremin.

I've seen a band with a tuba, a musical saw, a slide trumpet, a ukelele, and an accordion.

I've seen hypnotized burlesque dancers. I've seen hypnotized _clown_ burlesque dancers.

I've seen a woman covered in tiger stripe tattoos touch a sander to a piece of metal mounted on her bass guitar and light her cigarette off of the shower of sparks she created.

But all that pales compared to the Thing with the Condom, the Screwdriver, and the Nasal Passage. Oy.

For everything but the Eddie Izzard part, I was at (arguably) the coolest music spot in town, watching Black Cat Burlesque perform with a band called the Beat Circus. It takes a lot for what's on stage in Cambridge to be odder than the folks in the audience, but last night they achieved it.

That band with the tuba sounds like something I could have played in, so I kept nodding, thinking ok, yeah. Until I came to the thing with the condom, screwdriver and now my nose has hid inside og my face. Ewww. Do I even want to know?

I, um, think so? She didn't mention any marital attachment (or speak at all, come to think of it) but it's hard to imagine two women out there with tiger-stripe facial tattoos.
