Between 'Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits' and 'Fido, Your Leash is Too Long' I'm starting to get a little suspicious about The Magnetic Fields. Hmmmm.



NewBoss greeted me after his Spring Break on Monday with a package! Weeks before I'd admired his bust of The Judge (Buffy, season 2); as "a pre-emptive thank you" for my support when he becomes Acting Chair in the Fall, he got me the bust of Giles-turned-into-the-Fyral-Demon!

I did not squee. (Outwardly.) But it was damn close.



I'm not sure whether it was the tea or the medication or the day off yesterday, but last night I dreamt that I was on the bill to perform for some Comic Relief-style thing, in an amphitheater. Right after Robin Williams. And I was in a panic because Robin was starting his set, and I hadn't even found my costume and when I finally did find it, it was a big clear plastic block and a rapier, and I could hear myself being introduced and I couldn't figure out a way to get the rapier to stay in my belt and there were brownies that were supposed to be part of the costume but where to put them? WHERE TO PUT THEM?


Oh, and my iTunes randomizer seems to have decided that it loves 'Mexican Radio' and Chet Baker's 'My Funny Valentine'. 1816 songs and those two are the ones that always come up each day. Not that I mind,

Oh, and my iTunes randomizer seems to have decided that it loves 'Mexican Radio' and Chet Baker's 'My Funny Valentine'.
Mine loves 'She-Bop' by Cindy Lauper and 'Shame' by the Eurythmics.

Oooo, I'm jealous. :) My itunes is on my work computer (I *heart* music schools), and when I'm in my library there's a button at the bottom ("shuffle", maybe? two criss-crossy lines?) that will start the songs playing in random order. Or mostly random--I keep suspecting there's a pattern, I just can't quite figure it out.
