May. 25th, 2005 02:54 pmHey, Bostonians! If you're looking for something to do before the Buffy show on Friday, I'll be selling chocolates at this fundraiser:
**************************************************************************
The "Help Modpixie Complete Her Feature Film Before She Turns 30" Night!
27 MAY 2005
Unitarian Universalist Church
147 High Street
Medford MA
7:30pm | all ages | $12
FEATURING:
KAMIKAZE HEARTS -- a new ensemble that performs new
music with a uniquely rootsy feel
SWEET LORETTA'S SNAKE OIL JUG BAND -- the North
Shore's finest jug band, serving up a set of their wonderful music
THE GRINDHOUSE MARIONETTES -- a theatrical troupe of
human marionettes in a new sketch
"THE UNHAPPY MEDIUM" -- the short that started it all,
in which a young man runs afoul of his temperamental aunt and
throws a seance.

The menu will include three types of truffles (Orange Liqueur, Espresso Dark and Chambourd), chocolate-covered strawberries, and micro-cheesecakes. Just so y'know.

Date: 2005-05-26 08:42 pm (UTC)So they're not *really* cheesecakes, technically, since there's no crust. Just really really rich sweet cheese-y filling in a chocolate shell.

Date: 2005-05-26 09:45 pm (UTC)I would have liked to drop by and at least bought chocolates to contribute but don't have the cash to drop $12 on a show I couldn't make it to. You know? That's why I asked.
Yes, I realize I could just send along what I could but Brian chocolates would be a sweet bonus.
How come I feel like I sound like an ass? I'm not trying to. I'm actually tying to be helpful. *cry* I really hope no one takes my question the wrong way.
It's just that I'm a little confused. Does the Buffy show start after this show?

Date: 2005-05-27 02:36 am (UTC)Were you looking at the b0st0n board again? After I've stared at it too long, every post or comment I try to make looks ass-y. It's like some of the doofuses there are infectious.
Buffy complicates the night because it's happening in Brookline, and the benefit's in Medford. Which'll make things more exciting: when I finally plop my butt down in the Coolidge Corner seat, I'll know I've EARNED it. (And if I don't get there in time and I have to go to the bar across the street and drown my sorrows, I'll have earned that beer, too.)
