Well, I'm back.

Sorry about that absence--part of it was rage and fear and worry over Katrina (and how trite any of my ideas for posts seemed in comparison), and then part of it was family drama. I won't specifically promise to post about any topic in particular (I've learned through experience that this is a sure way to ensure that I never post about that), but expect to see me posting a lot over the next few days.

First, though, there is shilling to be done: SALEM PIRATE FAIRE! September 17th and 18th! Pirates! Fights! Music! Explosions! All in a gorgeous oceanside park with plenty of convenient parking--or trolley service from the commuter rail to the park if you're carless!

For much, much more information, go to http://www.pastimes1.com/pirate.html

(For the record, I sing, caper, provide comic relief, and shamelessly steal moves from Red Skelton. All at the same time, if I'm in a good mood. But don't let the thought of that scare you away from what will be a really excellent show!)

That was well expressed. And I understand completely.

Welllll....I can't say worked out. No one's better at repressing truth than my family.

Which made sitting in church on Sunday listening to my dad's sermon about "the healing power of being completely open and honest, and sharing burdens with loved ones" especially funny. (Funnier even than being in church in the first place).
