Woo, Vericon continues to give me warm fuzzies: I won both art auction pieces I bid on, and then the (diabolical) co-ordinator of the art show convinced me to get a third piece so that the (extremely nice and talented) artist could have the glow of making a clean sweep. My Virgo nature revels in the fact that I *already* have three birthday presents taken care of!

Slowly, carefully climbing out of the seasonal depression rut. After writing almost nothing for a month, I've managed to get myself going by letting myself do it in baby steps: three sentences a day for a week, then six sentences. This week I'm up to twelve, and find myself going over the 'limit' to reach the end of a scene or get to a punchline. It's a big relief.

Now that the 'everything's dark, ugh, life sucks' apathy's lifting, though, I find myself doing my other Perilous Winter Behavior---wanting to do things outdoors and overbooking myself for the warmer months. Organizing a carpool to Brandeis for juggling/staff sessions? Searching for rehearsal space with high ceilings for fire spinning? Signing up for stage combat classes? Auditioning for the lead ('bearded, late thirties/early forties, with stage combat experience'...ooo, I have a beard, this'll be easy!) in a short film? Pinging 83 different boffer larps out of the sheer longing to be outdoors? Researching frickin' karaoke nights?!? NO PROBLEM!!

I can already feel the March Meltdown chugging my way. I haven't even mentioned the reawakening stand-up urges, either. Or the costuming twinges. Or...

I've done gigs at the Lizard Lounge, and (before it closed) the meat grinder that was that Howard Johnsons in the Fenway. We should definitely hit a Geek Council sometime!
