In Taiko class tonight we practiced the Horse rhythm. It's two beats with the right hand for every beat with the left. We practiced it, and practiced it, and then we sped up, and sped up, and sped up some more.

I'm left-handed.

My right arm now feels like a noodle. A very buff noodle.

Was that you that looked at me oddly while they were leaving class A? I'm embrassed to admit that I don't entirely know what you look like.

And don't worry, if you are in Mark's class, you'll get to laugh at everyone else when they struggle with left handed horse beats. :) Everyone else will struggle with their left hand. Right now in class B, some of class B is struggling with RLLRLLRLL.

so cool!

Also, I just got the image of your arm being all wobbly and bendy like in anime.

In a way, it's a relief to know that my big forehead isn't as much of an instant visual cue as I sometimes think it is. :)

Does it sound like a horse galloping?

When one person's doing it, or when the entire group's in sync, it does!

When the group's out of sync, it sounds more like a horse loaded with empty barrels falling down a hill. Still an *interesting* sound, just, you know, not so much with the good.
