Skunk Update (Skunpdate?)
Jun. 14th, 2006 09:54 amAfter a lot of messages left on voicemail and perusing of websites, the New England Wildlife Center down in Hingham turned out to be the best place (e.g. the first place to call back and say 'yes') for little Stinky. He's being brought there this morning.
As a side note, the NE Wildlife Center voicemail has one of the saddest messages I've ever heard. "Please do NOT leave injured or orphaned animals outside our door while we are closed. They are completely vulnerable to cats, dogs, foxes and coyotes, and harm WILL come to them." You just know they wouldn't put up a message like that unless something bad had happened. Yeeps.
But at least...for this once, for this one critter...it's ended well. Thanks for the advice and support, folks.
