As I understand it, this is sorta the New Zealand Independence Day. Whatever. It's just fun to say. Waitangi, waitangi, waitangi.
As if they didn't have enough cool things going for them, a lof of NZ words just look nifty. Check out this sentence from my friend: "Yesterday I got to hongi the mayor of Upper
Hutt!"
No, I don't know what it means. And yes, it sounds like odd fetishy stuff involving a hobbit. But dang, it's cool.
