He’s coming…! Pastimes Entertainment, the interactive theater company behind the King Arthur Festival, the Salem Pirate Faire, and The Castle of the Damned, embarks on its first production exclusively for the stage, “The Scarecrow of Rumney Marsh”!
“Scarecrow” is an original adaptation of the novel by British author Russell Thorndyke set in pre-Revolutionary Revere, Massachusetts. Richard Rininsland of Bellingham stars as Dr. Syn in a swashbuckling adventure in the vein of “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” “Zorro,” and “V for Vendetta.”
“The Scarecrow of Rumney Marsh” will run for two performances at City Hall in Revere, Massachusetts on Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 – both shows begin at 7 PM. A second set of performances has been added for the following weekend, Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7 at the West End Theater in Gloucester – both shows begin at 7:30 PM.
The Revere performance is FREE (with a suggested donation of $5 at the door) thanks to a grant from the Mass. Cultural Council. Advance reservations will be required, and may be made by sending an e-mail to pastimestickets@gmail.com (please include name and number of tickets desired).
The West End Theater performance is $10 per ticket, and tickets may be purchased by calling the box office at 978-281-0680.
