Only NaNoWriMo post this week, swear to god

Day 3 of the Big Writing Project. So far the last surviving demigods of Olympus have discovered that the gates to the mortal realm are swinging back open, and meanwhile down in Mississippi the Bad Guys have started lobbing mortars into a thicket to flush out the Bigfoot hiding inside.

My worries about this story seeming too derivative of 'Heroes' have receded a bit.

I am so envious of you and all the folks doing NaNoWriMo this year. I really wanted to do it, but it would have meant putting my podcast on hold (again!) which I really didn't want to do ... of course, that's 500 to 600 words an episode, which if I really did make it a daily podcast (as it is billed) for all of November, that would add up to 16.5K ...

... that's something, isn't it?

You're doing NaNoWriMo? That's AWESOME! YAY!!
I tried it last year and wrote exactly half a page before deciding I should check and see what wonderful programming VH1 was offering that day. :sigh:
