In the next of what looks like it'll be an ongoing series of 'Not Too Bright Criminals From Rural Maine'...dude. Dude. If you're out on parole, your parole officer drops by every now and then to check out your place and make sure you're not getting into trouble. Even I know that. Now I'm sure there are ways the clever felon can still get up to naughtiness and not get caught...but converting the entire second floor of your house into an indoor greenhouse, and growing 100 pot plants there? DUDE.

Speaking of evildoers, Boston University is doing Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog' Friday and Saturday evening and also for a Saturday matinee. Yay!

Now, don't you feel so much safer because law enforcement folks are busting people for pot greenhouses instead of spending more of their time on crimes with real victims and harm? I mean, yeah, this guy was dumbdumbdumb, but man!

I'm not sure it requires so much effort to bust a guy you're checking up on anyway for his parole with something as egregious as a SECOND-FLOOR POT GREENHOUSE that it takes away from working on real criminals.

My thoughts exactly.

Guy was so stupid it's a crime. Never mind whatever else he did.

That sounds like my ex-roommate. Matter of fact, I wonder if it is him. Was the dude's name Barry by any chance?

The building is "SED 130" (School of Education, maybe?); the times are 8 on Friday and 2 and 8 on Saturday. Tickets $7, available at the GSU link!

Damn! I just realized I'm lacking in free time on Friday and Saturday. I guess watching the DVD over and over will have to do...

My cousin just performed in this show at University of Delaware (or, perhaps, provided props for it -- one can never tell with this particular cousin). I can't remember the charity it was a benefit for.

Wait, there are that many Dr Horrible fans on your lj, oakenguy? We did a shadowcast of Dr Horrible every month last year!

None coming up though since we had such a poor showing at the Brattle and at Coolidge Corner and they haven't invited us back. :-( I should have you post it though if we ever get a show again.

I might agree if I thought there was anything "egregious" about a pot greenhouse. I don't. Crime should consist of hurtful or unconscented-to things we do to others, not things we smoke, drink, or otherwise consume on our own time and causing no danger to others.

I don't know about anyone else, but the ones I saw advertised were... well, not really well advertised, I would a)see them after they happened or b)they would be midnight dealies, which I can't do, due to lack of car.
Man, I think it would be so much fun to be IN one!
