I cannot believe that I still have a headache three hours after a dachshund headbutted me.

From personal experience, they have hella thick skulls. I kick my dog in the head (unintentionally, of course) whn he burrows under the covers, and he's never suffered any ill effects. My feet, however, tend to smart a bit!
