Apr. 24th, 2003 01:19 pmSo at last night's rehearsal we're told about how horrible it would be if we're late any of the upcoming days. We'd be letting the whole cast down, our fights will be cancelled, our whole part might be written out, there will definitely be yelling, swearing, name-calling and humiliation. Horrible stuff.
As one of the newbies, with a part that (to be honest) could quite easily be cut & pasted onto other folks' scripts without much of a blip, I take this especially to heart. Burned into my consciousness.
And then this morning I discover that I'm, by default, the transportation for our 1-3 musicians (one of whom is
lediva, hi hi). Who are being very generous with their time, and who are friends or friends-of-friends, and we need them a lot more than they need us...and to get a ride with me, they need to meet me by 7:15 in the morning.
Musicians. Undergrad musicians. 7:15 in the morning. And if they're late either I'm out of the show or we're musicianless.
What could possibly go wrong?
