oakenguyPlaying hooky today, sssssssssssssssssh! I had to break the emergency glass and use one of my 'once in a lifetime*' excuses, but it's SO completely worth it! The weather's finally broken, the day is GORGEOUS, there's caffeine and meals in the fridge and a pudgy happy dog at my feet...it's just wrong to make people be at work today. Wrong. If I was king today would be a holiday and businesses would be forced to either shut down or, in compensation, give all their employees a nice two hour lunch at a good restaurant.
Ten more pages and....argh, no, that'll jinx it. I'll tell you when it's done. (WHEN it's done. Not if. I love being confident enough to say that.)
*The 'my mom was in a car crash and I have to drop everything and rush to her side' kind. You know what I mean. Which has the drawback of being REALLY awkward if I get spotted on the street, so it has to be for days when I'm either out of town or completely bunkered.
