Last night I dreamt I was wandering around Sunnydale (which was a cozy little touristy seaside community like Bar Harbor) in a t-shirt and my "Cat in the Hat" boxers, trying to find my childrens theater troupe because the Easter parade was about to start, and I needed my rabbit costume, dammit!

So, anyone know of any apartments for rent? The mice being the final straw (though we've caught six so far and helped them move on to better lives), we're kicking our search into high gear.

How far west?

What location are you looking for in apartments?
Cat in the hat boxers...hmmmmmm....the rhyming possibilities

Depends on your price range. I live in a duplex which is losing two of the three tenants in the downstairs apartment. It's a great place, pretty much right next to Porter Square. Let me know!

Well, we're not much for the driving (or for making Tobias the Ferocious Ratter spend ten hours between walks), so it'd have to be fairly close to a commuter rail. But apart from that we're willing to look almost anywhere.

Live in JP/Roxbury. It's the best. And it's affordable. And you could walk Toby in the Arboretum and he'd be soooooo happy.

I believe the third floor of our building is open. It's a much smaller apartment than you're used to, but it was just renovated. Walking distance to Sullivan!

Around $1100, which is what we're paying now...we can go up a bit, and we'd love to have a lower price, but that's the target.

Howabouta cat? Or, if you've got one, he needs a stern lecture and perhaps and instructional video, maybe bring in motivational speaker or something to encourage & excite him, who knows in mere days you'll have a mouse-free apartment...

Well, we've got a dog who supposedly is genetically predisposed to be a ratter, but it's taken him a long time to get the clue. We let him sniff one of the ones we caught, though, and you could almost see the gears shifting and turning in his little brain. "You mean....that scent in the house....is PREY?" So now he's running into the closets and scrabbling and barking at 4AM.

Kill me. Kill me now.

Sorry babe, can't reach from here.
Why don't you... come.. a little... closer?

Seriously, though, I don't know which is worse, the 4am stunod barker or the 4am loud MAOing, whereupon I crack open the crusty eyes and see Pablo, the love of my life but a naaaasty mischievous cat at that (hmmm, just the way i like 'em! but I digress...) staring at me from atop the dresser with a paw behind whatever valuable trinket-- cell phone, water glass-- I may have foolishly left there. As soon as he makes eye contact? SWAT! & crash, & I'm up & yelling & he's taken off. Little fucker...

But. We have neither roaches, nor mice.

And I've discovered the Water Pistol. Heh heh heh.... A most invaluable tool...
