Christina's in Inman Square has the best selection of gourmet baking chocolate I've ever seen! I'm so excited! I spent all the cash I had on me. Still need some tartlet shells. And I'll wait until tonight when things are cooler. Oooo, this is going to be fun.

D's been away for a couple days, and the apartment is sliding a bit into chaos--it doesn't help that I'm dogsitting a border collie mix who's, well, WOOLLY. These little clumps of black fur drift across the porch floor like tumbleweeds. On the bright side, I'm keeping dishes down by eating right from the can, the way nature intended.

Tonight I'll be marching in my second parade with the Pastimes Robin Hood group. Afterwards I'll have a big post about the experiences walking down the middle of a street with several thousand people staring at my tights, and some thoughts on parades in general, but I have a feeling it's gonna be a long 'un and I don't have time now.

One quick note, on the off-chance the actor who wore the Spongebob Squarepants costume last night reads this: dude, pulling your arms inside your costume in the middle of a parade freaks kids OUT!! I'm not sure those four-year-olds were ready for the sight of Amputee Spongebob.

This is by far the funniest thing I've read in a while, Oaken. :)

Granted, I am not the target audience for Monsieur Squarepants, but I think I'm just the right amount of cynical and twisted to truly appreciate his Amputee cousin.

"Robin Hood Parade???"

LOL! We were in Gloucester and Rockport for their 4th of July parades. No Christian this year, unfortunately; folks had to settle for being scared by the Sheriff (and by the giant can of corn the high school drama club dressed up as).
