The Vatican is instructing people to take a stand against same-sex marriage rights. In an attempt to talk about an issue in which he had more credibility, the Pope also instructed people to be aware that Fall fashions will see a return to plaids and chunky shoes, and that "dark purple is the new black".

He also issued a stern warning to any priests performing same-sex marriages, saying that they would be coddled by the church, given new, better job opportunities, and eventually be allowed to retire with a nice pension.

In other news, one of the horses used by the Maine Faire is named Guy of Gisbourne. I'm very amused.
