Just a quick post before the huge weekend updates:

Why is Wendy's calling its chicken strips "homestyle"? What is homestyle about them, exactly? Sure, my Mom custom-designs batter in a lab to make sure it has the right "mouth feel" and puts my lunch in a little box with a side of chipotle sauce, but I'm told this isn't natural. So now I'm confused.

Yeah? Well *my* mom wears a crumpled uniform while she heats food that was actually prepared 100 miles away. Any money I give her for food she puts in a cookie jar and takes out just 5.25 per hour for herself.

Hurm. My guess would be that they aren't cut into tiny standard-sized pieces before breading and frying. That sounds like my Mom. ("Mom! Dave's is bigger!" "Yours is big enough--now eat!")
