Nov. 2nd, 2003 12:08 pmOkay, who let the happy gas loose in Davis Square?
Here's what I saw during one trip to the bank:
1) A mom and four-year-old walking down the sidewalk in front of me. The little girl broke into a wild spazzy dance. After about three seconds the mom looked down, spotted this...and started dancing herself.
2) Seconds later, two *other* little girls running around the corner with an adult behind them. Just as she reached the traffic light, one of them blurted out "We're the luckiest girls in the whole wide WORLD!!", and then dashed into the Someday Cafe.
3) At the bank, I get my deposit envelope, and written on the back is "Hello! Have a good day!"
I mean, it's FUN, and I enjoy the conversations on the street with total strangers. It just feels a little like I woke up in some sort of Bizarro-Boston.
