Random Note #3:

It's very VERY sad that the "erupting volcano" in Kowloon on Rte. 1 was more impressive than the one in the Smithsonian Botanical Gardens. Blinking track lighting covered in red cellophane isn't exactly lava.

On the other hand, the Smithsonian's rain forest was much better. And they weren't blasting Christmas music at 140 decibels. And they had orchids! So they win there.

On the other other hand, they didn't have about thirty of my friends celebrating a birthday at the Smithsonian.

But on the other other other hand, I could actually hear conversations at the Smithsonian, as opposed to at the Kowloon where I spent five minutes nodding and smiling at Dan rather than make him repeat himself.

But on the other x4 hand, the Garden didn't sell fruity alcoholic drinks that came in coconut shells.

But they DID have model trains.

Hmm.

It was a toss up for me until the model trains :)

I might be going down to DC during the WWII dedication...If I do, I hope to go back to the Smithsonians. They are the coolest places on earth.

And I want to get back to the Holocaust musuem. A half hour is nothing in that place

Ooh I am jealous. Since I saw Kowloon I've wanted to go there. Now I know it is worth it. :)

We should go! Just, maybe during lunchtime when they're not playing loud music. And someone else should drive.

I'm full of demands!

Sounds good. :) I want drinks in coconuts too so I'm not driving.
