Fights: 0. Dominance displays: 0. (Turkey: nature's sedative.) Times the living room floor looked like an ocean of calf-high dogs, all of them with needy eyes and wagging tails: 913.

I'm *really* developing a love of pugs. Obie is such a cute little gargoyle--I love how she's such a spaz that, when she's excited and wants to run, she trips over her own hind feet. And the way she makes little smacky sounds as she sucks her lower lip when she's sleepy. (Hey, I'm not just a proponent of the 'so funny-looking they're cute' mode of thought, I'm it's biggest beneficiary. Well, second, after Steve Buscemi.)

i wouldnt kick steve buscemi out of my bed! um, i mean, pugs are cute! growing up, my dads friend had a pug named, "Mort! The Smartest Pug In The World." that was his official title. you know, like Artie, The Strongest Man In The World? anyway, he really was smart. his owner used to say, "Mort! go get daddy a beer!" and he would waddle his fat pug butt over to the fridge and scratch and wine until his owners wife brought out a beer. silly dog.
