Ahh, trying to get to Silvermane in rush hour traffic. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to spend nearly two hours to travel 43 miles. I also forgot how much I hate traffic jams caused by people who want to stare at a traffic accident. (Though, to be fair, it was a horrendous accident of the "What's that twisted refrigerator doing in that tree?" "That's a car" variety.)

But I eventually triumphed! I'm currently wearing the boots I bought (to stretch them out--they're tight at the moment, owwie) and have enough tights to last the entire Faire season. Plus I got to listen to a fun NPR story about the Smith & Wesson chairman who had to step down after it was revealed he was a felon who'd been known as the 'Shotgun Bandit'. My favorite part was his rationale for not telling the company about his past--"they never asked". I need to check with HR and make sure 'Did you ever participate in a jailbreak while on a penitentiary debate team' gets added to their list of questions.
